Jo Anne Corbitt
Vice President of Property Management
Jo Anne Corbitt is a Certified Property Manager with more than 30 years of commercial property experience in the Nashville market. A self professed ‘timid girl from South Nashville,’ she credits her early years of helping her brother collect for newspapers on his route as the beginning of her fight against her shyness and the start of her career path. She quickly learned to love knocking on doors, stating the amount owed and walking away with the cash. And, on occasion—there were even small tips. Life as a 9 year old was good!
Jo Anne joined The Mathews Company in 2000, and her experience and expertise in budgeting, contracting, maintenance management, and lease administration of large properties reflect her superior skills in real estate management. Jo Anne is a longtime member of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), the internationally recognized organization of professional property managers. She served as president of the Nashville chapter of IREM in 1982, and after a number of national assignments and roles, she represented IREM as its national president in 1997. Jo Anne is a licensed real estate broker in Tennessee and a longtime active member in the Greater Nashville, Tennessee and National Associations of Realtors. She has served each of those organizations in various committee capacities and training roles. She received IREM’s “Lloyd D. Hansford Distinguished Faculty Award” in 2006 and the “ J. Wallace Paletou Award” in 2013.
A Nashville native, Jo Anne is active in the community, serving on the board of the North Nashville Community Development Organization. In addition, she has served as a member of the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency Board (1998 - 2004).

I have a rule about real estate: there’s a time to buy and a time to sell. The trick is knowing when to do that. You just have to have a feel about it.”
