Originally warehouses purchased in 1976 from Tennessee Wholesale Drug Company, the Lofts at 160 opened in late 2005 and were 100 percent leased early in 2006. Located on the second and third floors of the building at 160 Second Ave. North, the Lofts include 32 upscale studio and one- and two-bedroom apartments with a blend of historical and modern architectural features.

The Mathews Company began transforming a century-old bank building into one of Nashville's most distinctive urban apartment buildings in 2005. The historic 12-story structure was converted to a high-end apartment building, which opened in August 2006, featuring 134 studio and one- and two-bedroom high-end loft-style apartments, along with eight live/work spaces.
